Stars Shine Bright at the 6th Annual Urban One Honors: Chloe Bailey, Mary J. Blige, Summer Walker, and More Turn Heads

The 6th Annual Urban One Honors lit up the Coca Cola Roxy in Atlanta, celebrating trailblazers in arts, music, and media. The event brought together influential figures who have made lasting impacts in their industries.

Mary J. Blige, the Grammy-winning powerhouse, was honored as the Entertainment Icon and stunned in a dramatic black lava gown from Gaurav Gupta’s “Shunya collection,” perfectly aligning with the “Best in Black” theme. Chlöe, awarded the Generation Next Honoree, sparkled in a $1,598 sequin Retrofête ‘Haven’ dress adorned with clear stone crystals, complete with matching gloves and glowing glam.

LeToya Luckett, formerly of Destiny’s Child, radiated elegance in a soft pink $2,545 Toni Maticevski gown, paired with sleek black Balenciaga thigh-high boots. Her blonde pixie cut and smokey eyes added a bold edge. When asked about her first designer splurge, she recalled it was likely a Gucci bag.

Toya Johnson exuded goddess energy in a yellow Bronx and Banco gown with frayed edges and a flowing train. B. Simone brought the drama in a custom red leopard print gown by London Couture, featuring an asymmetrical cut and thigh-high slit, finished with a red lip, china bangs, and sparkling diamonds.

On the carpet, Muni Long turned heads in a geometric Emilio Pucci dress in baby blue, black, and white, priced at $1,810. She praised Fashion Bomb Daily for spotlighting Black fashion and offering detailed style guides.

Summer Walker channeled vintage Hollywood in a strapless black lace Dolce & Gabbana gown, her blonde curls and diamond Louboutin mules completing the Marilyn Monroe-inspired look.

These standout ensembles made the Urban One Honors a night to remember. With award season and Fashion Week on the horizon, we’re ready for even more unforgettable fashion moments. Don’t miss the premiere on Sunday, February 25, 2024, on TV One and CLEO TV.
