Designer Sergio Hudson took cues from the historic Inkwell Beach on Martha’s Vineyard for his Spring 2024 collection, which he presented for the first time at LA Fashion Week. Renowned for his dynamic New York Fashion Week shows, Hudson embraced the West Coast vibe with a lineup tailored to LA’s sunny climate, showcasing creamy whites, camels, and a spectrum of vibrant hues in sleek, enduring silhouettes.
Hudson emphasized his goal of crafting garments that felt light and breathable while preserving the brand’s signature structure. The collection featured luxurious silk midi dresses, along with pieces made from silk charmeuse, stretch cotton, denim, and Italian eyelet.
Among the stylish attendees was Fashion Bomb CEO Claire Sulmers, now a Los Angeles resident, who graced the red carpet in a striking aqua blue look from the Sergio Hudson Collection. Her ensemble included a long-sleeve turtleneck, a wrap skirt, and a contemporary trench coat, all complemented by matching stockings and clear heels.
Sulmers mingled with fashion legend Bethann Hardison, recently honored for her film “Invisible Beauty,” and connected with other industry figures like Ciarra Pardo, Legendary Damon, Shannon Thornton, and Margie Plus.
The runway dazzled with fresh designs, followed by a lively cocktail hour. The event not only spotlighted Hudson’s remarkable craftsmanship but also fostered a vibrant space for fashion dialogue and networking.
